Our Purpose
In 1996, Bermuda's insurance industry leaders established BFIS to assist Bermudian students with the education and training necessary for a career in the insurance industry.

This is being achieved through:

• Annual SCHOLARSHIPS which have increased in number, scope and dollar amounts over the years to match increased tuition costs and the growth of the industry. APPLICATION DEADLINE: April 30th
  
• MENTOR NETWORKING programme matching young Bermudians, planning or starting a career in insurance, with people already established in the industry.
  
• SUMMER INTERN programmes to broaden student's knowledge of the insurance industry through structured internships in Bermuda, Chicago and London. Application Deadline has been extended to: Monday, MARCH 1st. 
  
• HIGH SCHOOL PRESENTATIONS on insurance careers and information of scholarships.  
  
• CAREER GUIDANCE and job search advice.
  
• RESUME posting on the BFIS website for students intent on finding employment in the insurance sector.
