| Our Funding |
|
As a Bermuda Registered Charity, BFIS is
solely funded through pledges and donations. These come mainly from
insurance companies but also include those that do business with and for
the insurance sector. A number of individuals closely involved with the
industry have also made significant personal donations.

| PLEDGES AND
DONATIONS |
|
|
The majority of our
funding comes from companies pledging an annual payment over a period of
five years.
BFIS Members are those who pledge
or donate over $10,000 per year.
Members are entitled to name
a representative to vote on their behalf at
the Annual General Meeting. This representative will be kept in touch
with the Foundation during the year. |
| US TAX DEDUCTIBLE
DONATIONS |

If you are a U.S. Taxpayer and would like to make a
U.S. tax-deductible donation please read the U.S. Taxpayer form. BFIS
can receive U.S. tax-deductible donations if they are first sent to the International Charitable
Fund of Bermuda, Inc.,
which has 501(c)(3) status. The Sample Letter gives
information necessary for the ICFB. |
PUBLICITY Each donor has the option
to receive public recognition for their support through press releases
to Bermuda media and the international insurance related media. Donors company
names are listed in all BFIS publicity material including links
from this web-site and can also have their company logo displayed
on the BFIS website. |
