Bermuda BDA
Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA) is an independent organization partnering with both the public and private sectors to promote and sustain existing international business, while actively developing new business in Bermuda. In addition to other sectors, BDA provides generic marketing support to the (re)insurance, captive and broking industries.
Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers
Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers (BILTIR) was created to serve as a formal association representing the long-term insurers and reinsurers in Bermuda.
The primary focus of BILTIR is to act as an advocate for Bermuda’s life and annuity industry for public policy that supports the industry marketplace, including regulatory requirements, other Bermuda Monetary Authority or Bermuda government issues, and tax matters with various jurisdictions.
BILTIR strives to provide a voice for concerns of the long-term (re)insurance sector in Bermuda.
Insurance Advisory Committee
The IAC advises the Bermuda Government on matters relating to the insurance and reinsurance industries.
Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers
ABIR represents the public policy interests of Bermuda’s Class 4 insurers and reinsurers around the world.
Bermuda Captive Network
Internationally recognised as an independent association providing focus, value and effective representation for Bermuda’s captive and managed insurance industry, while successfully promoting Bermuda as a world-class domicile.
Brokers & Reinsurance Markets Association
BRMA was formed in 1980. There are currently 30 member companies including the local representatives of major international broking houses and small independent intermediaries.

BIUA is an unincorporated, non-profit association of professional underwriting companies which are domiciled and licensed in Bermuda, and which are actively engaged in the business of insurance and/or reinsurance.

RIMS is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the practice of risk management.
The International Center for Captive Insurance Education
(ICCIE, pronounced I See) was conceived by the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) in 2001. The members and leadership of the organization, through extensive conversation and research, determined that the growth and quality of the captive insurance industry could not be sustained without the development of a pool of qualified captive insurance professionals. The formation of ICCIE, a comprehensive education program for participants in the captive industry, was a response to this challenge.
